Drop-off Center, open every 2nd and 4th Saturday

8:am to 1:pm

Kipton/Camden Recycle Program

Camden Township and Kipton Village have united in the effort to conserve our natural resources and save valuable land space.

We have prepared a Drop-off Center for recyclable materials located at the Old Camden School site in the village of Kipton.

We have purchased a large van type truck with funds provided by the Lorain County Solid Waste District. This truck is equipped with containers to hold and separate the recyclable material.

The materials to be recycled are aluminum cans, steel cans, glass containers, plastic containers, corugated cardboard, magazines, office paper and newspapers.

Recycle Center open on the second and fourth Saturdays, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

  • Aluminum cans should be drained and have no foreign material inside
  • Steel cans (tin cans) should be rinsed with lid placed inside.
  • Glass containers should be rinsed. Remove lids and leave labels on.
  • Plastic containers are of two types. Please keep them separate.
  • (PETE) is #1 plastic. A two liter pop bottle is an example.
  • (HDPE) is #2 plastic. Plastic milk jugs and detergent bottles, etc.
  • Corrugated cardboard should have staples and tape removed.
  • Newspaper. Keep dry, loose is ok, place in newspaper collection boxes
  • Magazines and glossy paper. Place in with newspaper.
  • Office paper. Computer, typing, copy paper, etc. With newspaper also.
  • Camden Township will have a separate collection twice a year for trash and scrap metal.

There are two newspaper collection boxes in Kipton by the recycle center for use of both the township and the village at all times.

We hope that you will take a part in our endeaver to recycle in this joint venture and hope to see you at the Recycling Center.

Meanwhile,
